The Science and Education Complex for Research in Philosophy at the Philosophy Department of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Urgench State University, representative offices of foreign states accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Islamic University, and Imam Al-Bukhari International Center are planning to hold an International Scientific and Theoretical Conference on 3-4 October 2013 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, titled “‘Values of Avesta’: Modernity, Religion, and Philosophy”. The purspose of the conference is to discuss the significance of “Avesta” and its influence it has had on the overall global spiritual culture and development of philosophy, morality, law, national and global religions in particular. Everyone is welcome to participate in the international scientific and theoretical conference “’Values of Avesta’: Modernity, Religion and Philosophy”.

CONFERENCE SUBJECT AREAS AND TOPICS:
1. “Avesta” as a Value of Global Culture;
2. Philosophy of Zoroastrianism (Ontology, Cosmology, Epistemology, Dualism, Rationalism And Irrationalism, Ethics, and Aesthetics);
3. Zoroastrianism as a Religious System (Theology, Religious and Legal Systems and Traditions, Soteriology, Prophetism);
4. Source Studies, Linguistic, and Philological Research of “Avesta”;
5. Historiographic Research of “Avesta” (Ethnography, Archeology, and History).

The participants of the conference should send abstracts of their speeches prior to 1 August 2013. The abstracts should conform to the following below. They should be provided in an electronic form via е-mail to Avesto2013@nuu.uz, ms.makhmudova@inbox.ru and asаyyora@yandex.ru.
