Prof. Mohammad Ali Amir-Moezzi received the Avicenna Prize from the Royal Belgian Academy for his lifetime scholarship. He is an expert on Shi’i Islam and has recently published a multi-volume book on the Prophet Mohmmad and also another two on the Quran.
