It is my pleasure to unveil the new and improved version of the Encyclopaedia Iranica. Like any monumental project, it is a work in progress. For over a year, we have been working to present the Encyclopedia Iranica in a twenty-first century setting, which means its search capabilities, sound, color, visuals, and other features are to be improved significantly. With the assistance of Artificial Intelligence technology, we will be able to do infinite more with the treasure-trove of knowledge of the Encyclopaedia Iranica not only for research but by making its content more accessible to non-Persian readers with accurate translation capabilities.
There is a new generation of scholars who have come on board of the Encyclopaedia Iranica, presenting cutting-edge research, with a new outlook. At the same time, Iranica is more gender balanced, and its inclusivity means having scholars from Iran and beyond. We will continue to publish the Encyclopedia in print as well for those still interested in such format.
