Patricia Blessing
Art historian and Associate Professor of Art History at Stanford University; a specialist in Islamic and medieval architecture in Anatolia and the eastern Mediterranean. She is the author of Rebuilding Anatolia after the Mongol Conquest: Islamic Architecture in the Lands of Rūm, 1240–1330 (2014) and Architecture and Material Politics in the Fifteenth-Century Ottoman Empire (2022), and co-author of Medieval Textiles across Eurasia, c. 300–1400 (2023). Her work has been supported by major research institutions including ANAMED, the British Academy, and the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
