Jeremiah Benn Simmons

(1938–?), commonly known as J. B. Simmons, was a numismatist and scholar of Safavid and Qajar monetary systems. He completed his doctoral dissertation in the History Department at the University of Cambridge in 1978, examining the evolution of Persia’s monetary system from the consolidation of Safavid power in 1502 to the introduction of Belgian mint-management experts in 1901.
