Iran’s Constitutional Revolution of 1906 and the Narratives of the Enlightenment

LIVE STREAM OF KEYNOTE ADDRESSES AND ROUNDTABLE

The Gingko Library and BIPS (the British Institute of Persian Studies), will live-stream three key events of the Conference which will be held between September 14 and 16 at the British Academy in London. These are:

1 - Keynote Address "A Sufi’s Roadmap to Civil Society: Hamadan 1906/7" - Professor Bert Fragner on Monday, 14 September, 18.30 BST / 19.30 CET

2 - Special Session: Launch of the New Divan Project Joachim Sartorius and Mahmoud Dowlatabadi – introduced by Narguess Farzad and Barbara Haus Schwepcke, on Tuesday, 15 September, 18.30 BST / 19.30 CET

3 - Closing Keynote: In Search of Modern Iran - Professor Abbas Amanat, Yale, on Wednesday, 16 September, 12.00 BST / 13.00 CET

All three keynotes will be broadcast via Youtube, with opportunities provided to web audiences to pose their questions to the speakers. The broadcasts are free of charge, with no registration required. To watch, users should connect to www.gingkolibrary.com or www.mihan.org.uk shortly before the stated times.
