BORHĀN, MOḤAMMAD-ḤOSAYN

BORHĀN, MOḤAMMAD-ḤOSAYN b. Ḵalaf Tabrīzī, a prominent 17th-century Persian lexicographer active in the Deccan (India) under the Quṭb Šāhī dynasty. He is exclusively remembered as the author of the highly influential Persian dictionary, the Borhān-e qāṭeʿ (comp. 1062/1652).
